This 56-chapter novel is the least fictional of the seven great classic Chinese novels, and consequently it contains hundreds of technical terms that were very difficult to translate. As with all our other translated novels, the centuries-old events described in the novel are very intriguing and pleasantly familiar because they are virtually identical to those we experience in our present-day high schools and colleges, and in our modern everyday life.
